Alicia Daly, Senior Consultant
Alicia brings more than 20 years of professional experience in fundraising, senior level fiscal oversight, infrastructure development, and nonprofit management. Before joining BGA’s team, Alicia served as the finance and development director at American Rights at Work, a labor rights organization based in Washington, D.C. In this capacity she not only managed all fundraising efforts, but also increased non-labor funding by over 150 percent. She developed new strategies including an innovative and well-respected program targeting institutional investors, the highly successful annual Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Awards Celebration, and a systematic program that deepened relationships with the foundation community. For five years prior, Alicia served as the Associate Publisher for Ms. Magazine where she led the magazine’s transition from a struggling for-profit enterprise to a more sustainable non-profit model. Her creative approach combined a wide variety of outlets including membership, sales, marketing, direct mail, online fundraising and events. In addition, she developed several signature programs that raised the profile of the organization overall and built a strong foundation of new fundraising streams that continue to sustain it to this day.Alicia began her career as an organizer for the Feminist Majority Foundation, focusing on the 1996 affirmative action initiative in California. Other earlier work included development roles with San Francisco Bay Area affiliates of the Alzheimer’s Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Girls Incorporated.Alicia served on the City of Alexandria (VA) Commission for Women from July 2013-May 2018. She currently serves as a board member for the historic, non-partisan National Woman’s Party. Alicia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing from Purdue University.
Preethi Raghavan, Senior Consultant
Preethi Raghavan has over a decade of experience working in political fundraising, nonprofit management, public policy, and campaigns across the government and non-profit sectors. Most recently, she led the transition and managed finance and operations for the newly rebooted Congressional Progressive Caucus Center, and was the founding Development Director & Senior Advisor to the Executive Director at the State Innovation Exchange (SiX), where she helped to capitalize and grow the organization from $100,000 in seed funding to a nearly $4 million dollar operating budget in 3 years. Prior to this she was a Senior Advisor for State Campaigns at Mayor Bloomberg’s gun violence prevention group, Everytown for Gun Safety, and Special Assistant in the Office of the Director at the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She began her career on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Assistant on the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee.Preethi holds a Bachelor of Arts with a dual concentration in Economics and Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. It was during this time her interest in politics was ignited, after serving as a summer intern for Member of Parliament Dawn Butler in the House of Commons in London, England.
Brittani Gibson, Client Manager
Brittani Gibson, has had a strong background in supporting work across the nonprofit sector since her time in college. Prior to joining BGA, Brittani served for 2 years as the Special Projects & Development Coordinator for Community Justice Action Fund, a national community-centered organization focused on advancing strategies to end gun violence in Black and Brown communities. While in this capacity she helped to strengthen internal organizational structures, identify new and diverse funding streams, and managed logistical planning for major donor and community events. Prior to this, Brittani served as the Executive Assistant to the Founder of A New Way of Life Reentry Project. Working closely with this fast-paced leader, Brittani saw first-hand the power of movement-building to advocate on behalf of formerly incarcerated women often left out of mass-incarceration discussions.
Brittani began her career working in the development department of Goodwill Southern California assisting in foundation and corporate relationship stewardship.
Brittani holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from the University of Southern California.
