Meet Beth Grupp

Beth Grupp Beth Grupp works nationally and internationally coaching organizations to grow their internal capacity and increase their bottom-line revenue. With nearly three decades of experience in both the political and non-profit arenas, she founded a consulting firm in 1995 because of the demand for her innovative leadership in fundraising strategy, executive coaching, and board development.

Before launching her firm, Beth was the Finance Director for Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA) in both his 1988 and 1994 races, and also served as his PAC director. She went on to work in the races of Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), John Kerry (D-MA), and Ron Wyden (D-ORE), among others. She began her career organizing for the Equal Rights Amendment in the 1980s, environmental justice issues in upstate New York, health care issues in eastern Kentucky, and the Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign at the national level.

Beth has a particular commitment to fostering the fundraising skills of current and emerging leaders in the progressive community through training and coaching. She has crafted fundraising curricula in the U.S. and abroad for major advocacy organizations with portfolios of $100 million and smaller non-profits with portfolios of $100,000.

Beth is a graduate of Cornell University where she designed an independent major in the “Use and Abuse of Power.” She graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1984 and is a recipient of the Cornell Peace Studies award.
